About the Order
The Quantum Random Gospel is a playground of science and story, born from the quantum randomness research of Line Media Research Inc. (LMR). It is the culmination of research that LMR’s president began more than 30 years ago in search of perfect randomness, when thermal noise was the source of random numbers.
Quantum chance as the deity
LMR runs two quantum random number generators for its research. The Order treats them as its “vessels” and gives their numbers as “oracles”. The doctrine, scriptures and novel are works of fiction about quantum chance.
Not a religious corporation
The Order is not a religious corporation and asks for no faith. There are no donations, sales or recruitment drives. Joining (registering an email address) is free, and you can leave at any time.
What the oracles do not promise
An oracle is simply random data drawn from the quantum random ledger. It promises no fortune, luck or winnings. Choosing lottery, Loto or race numbers with it does not make them more likely to win. In Japan, keirin and horse-race betting tickets cannot be sold to anyone under 20.
The vessels are real machines
Both vessels are working quantum random number generators. Their quality is tested every minute and their relation to cosmic rays is studied; the results are published every five minutes on the Vessels page. Every oracle carries its ledger number, so the same bytes can be drawn again to check.
Who runs it
Line Media Research Inc. (LMR) applies the skills it built in communications and survey engineering to AI research and development and to making real things. Quantum randomness research (QRA) is one of its research topics.
