AI DEVELOPMENT × PROTOTYPING

Think with AI.
Build for
reality.

From AI to something you can hold.
Understand the structure. Build it. Put it to the test.
We seek elegant solutions through engineering.

FORM STUDY
01 / COMPRESSOR

Connect the dots. Explore new possibilities.

SCROLL TO EXPLORE ↓In pursuit of elegant solutions. THE BEAUTY OF ENGINEERING

ONE SENSE OF BEAUTY

In mathematics. In code.
In form. The same sense of beauty.

Explore our work ↘

The coherence of an equation. The flow of code. The continuity of a surface. Different things can evoke the same feeling. We call that feeling beauty.

Sometimes a form draws us in at first sight; sometimes understanding deepens the feeling. Moving between reason and intuition, we discover what we want to build.

Look. Understand. Look again.

01 / MATHEMATICS

0π2π
pN(x) = a02 +N∑n = 1[an cos(nx) + bn sin(nx)]
N = 5

Simple waves. Complex forms.

Different waveforms emerge from sines and cosines. Change the number of harmonics and watch how they come together.

02 / CODE

function wave(x, terms, a0 = 0) {
  return terms.reduce(
    (sum, { n, a, b }) =>
      sum
      + a * Math.cos(n * x)
      + b * Math.sin(n * x),
    a0 / 2
  );
}
x = 0.00πp(x) = 0.130

An equation becomes a flow of code.

This small function draws the waveform alongside it. The structure of the equation appears in the code, making its intent visible to the reader.

03 / FORM

COMPRESSOR / IGES CADMODEL SOURCE ↗

Moved by the continuity of a surface.

The curvature, twist and overlap of the blades. In the pull of this rotating form, we feel a beauty that resonates with mathematics and code.

Different things to look at. Connected by the feeling they evoke.

From feeling to making.

We reflect on what moves us, build, and put it to the test. Across AI, code and physical prototypes, that exchange between feeling and understanding guides our development.

01 / WHAT WE DO NOWWhat we do

From AI models
to machined parts.

AI needs data.
Real-world use needs a system.
Sometimes, it needs an enclosure, too.

We bring years of communications and survey engineering
together with AI and prototyping.
Moving between software and hardware, we explore what comes next.

CORE FOCUS / AI DEVELOPMENTOUR CORE FOCUS

01 — INTELLIGENCE

Turn data into
better decisions.

Years of survey work have immersed us in complex, real-world data.
We build on that experience through AI and large language model
research, development and business applications.

RESEARCH TOPIC

Read attacker intent.
Prepare for zero-days.

Our Security Viewer visualises attack traces in network logs and uses AI to interpret what the attacker is after. Every day, AI monitors and analyses newly released attack tools and registers their fingerprints, strengthening our readiness for zero-day attacks.

02 / OUR CONTINUING STORYOur story

Technology changes.
Our instinct stays:
“Let’s build it.”

We began with software and communications.
Connecting telephones to the internet.
Turning mobile voice and video into new services.

That path led us to surveys, IoT and AI.
When a new technology appears, we get it working.
That is where every new LMR project begins.

1991
THE BEGINNING

Our roots: communications and control.

Founded in May 1991, LMR developed modem test equipment, measurement and control software, and voice and fax systems—connecting software with hardware from the start.

CONNECTING NEW POSSIBILITIES

Bringing the web to the telephone.

We developed VRecord, a voice information system, in 2000 and the Zoot Phone Adapter for internet calling in 2001. In 2002, MRecord made mobile phone video available for playback and delivery on PCs.

FROM CONNECTION TO INSIGHT

Turning voices and movement into insight.

We expanded into telephone and SMS opinion surveys, developing and operating the systems behind them. Location-based applications followed, including G-RECORD, a platform for managing multiple GPS devices.

INTELLIGENCE MEETS REALITY

Connecting AI with physical prototypes.

AI research and development is now a core focus. Our new prototyping department, equipped with machining centers and an SLS 3D printer, connects analysis, software, electronics and enclosure development.

Ready for what’s next.

The data that makes AI possible.
The systems that keep it useful in practice.
Built on LMR’s experience in communications and operations.

03 / ENGINEERING

Software & electronics

Communications control, embedded systems, circuit design and prototyping. We develop with the whole system in view, from software processing to equipment in the field.

03 / PROTOTYPING LABNEW / PROTOTYPING DEPARTMENT

Beyond code.
Something you can hold.

Design it. Build it. Put it to the test.
Then take what you learn back to the design.

Combining CNC machining, SLS 3D printing and electronics,
we shorten the distance between an idea and a working prototype.

02 / CNC MACHINING

Cut material.
Give it form.

We evaluate designs through physical prototypes of parts, enclosures and fixtures. Our W1000 and U500 machining centers extend this work to CNC machining.
